Mindfulness in the Classroom
Looking for a hands-on approach to mindfulness in the classroom? This course is for teachers and principals who want to know more about mindfulness, what the benefits are for yourselves and your students, and how to integrate it into your classroom.

At EduFuture we understand that teaching can be a very stressful job - and so can being a principal. Practicing mindfulness can serve as a valuable antidote to the stress many of us experience during our school day. That is why we developed this hands-on course for teachers and principals who want to know more about mindfulness, what the benefits are for yourselves and your students, and how to integrate it into your school.

Main topics of this mindfulness course (all levels)

  • History and science of mindfulness in the classroom

  • The benefits of mindfulness (well-being, joy of learning, avoiding burn-out, active listening, focusing, etc.)

  • Different forms of mindfulness practices (embodiment practices, focus-attention practices, and interconnection practices)

  • How to use mindfulness in classroom management (self-leadership, building a culture of trust, effective communication, creating a positive learning environment, etc.)

  • Introducing mindfulness practices to your students (cultivate engagement and motivation, the student as change maker, reduce stress, self-regulation, etc.)

  • Establishing an own mindfulness practice

At the end of the course, you will leave with a toolbox of mindfulness practices which you can use in your school to create a more inclusive and holistic learning environment.

 

The methodology of our courses

  • Information. A general introduction on each of the topics.

  • Observation. Observe teaching, studying and learning in small groups or individually.

  • Sharing. Share experiences and expertise on the different topics in workshops.

  • Creating output. Working individually and in groups on a concrete product to be used in your own school.
